After creating your wordle on Wordle.net, click save to public. Give it a title. Say ok. then it reappears with the code underneath. Copy the code. Then go back to your blog. Click on layout. Add a gadget - html java. Paste code in. It appears at the side of your post.

This site suggests some writing prompts for you. Just click on the title of this post to get to the site. I like that you can sort through them and choose somthing that interests you. Some prompts I've seen: "If I had 15 minutes to evacuate my home before it was to be destroyed by a hurricane, what 10 things would I grab (not including people or pets)" and "If you could trade lives with someone else, who would it be and why?"

Click on the "Next Prompt" bar and scroll through until you find something to respond to. I look forward to seeing what you choose and reading your reply.

From Lebanon to Saskatchewan to Jamestown!

Because blogging is a worldwide practice, inspiration travels around the world at the speed of light! A writing prompt from Lebanese students from the American Community School in Beirut inspired a Canadian teacher (Saskatchewan is a province of Canada) to use it for her students, and now I present it to you! It is called an "I am from" poem. I will be interested to see how our "I am from" poems will be the same, or different from, Lebanese and Canadian students. Click on the links to visit the other sites so you can get some good examples. You can see that the both the Hainault and ACS follow the rules of personal safety, so please remember to post your poems, with your first name and last initial only.

If you navigate around the other schools, you might be interested to see if their lunches and school holidays are different from ours! You may also reply to the other school blogs - they like to track international visitors. Mrs. C.
